Allie, one of the co-presidents, bags kale to sell the next day.
Our first plant sale, although a surprise to many, was a great success! We sold bags of kale, arugula, herbs, and individual plants. If you are interested in buying a plant or a bag of salad mix, please email us at [email protected] or leave a message on the contact page. We would also really appreciate if everyone went to the "Polls/Surveys" Page and tell us what plants you would like! Thank you for all the support and Stay tuned for more information!

The Wilson Greenhouse is under new lead. Eleanor Haworth, Molly Wackler, and Allie O'Brien are the new co presidents, and Ms. Scotland and Ms. Gibson are the Teacher sponsors. We will all be available to contact through the emails [email protected], or [email protected]. The Greenhouse club meets on Wednesdays during lunch and after school.

This year we started by cleaning out the greenhouse and planting salad mix. Molly Learned to work the automatic watering system, and is in the process of ordering seeds for more sprouts. The cooling and heating system is problematic but we are working on getting help from the administration. We will have a plant sale very soon.

The Aquaponic system that started in 2014 will be reassembled this year! there are many bits and pieces lying around. Although it may not be exactly the same it will be up and running very soon!

The Pollination garden will be taken apart this fall/winter for the purposes of pest control. When spring comes around, we will rebuild the garden and we hope to expand it. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please feel free to email us. This website will be updated regularly.

Tomorrow we'll be selling some of our school grown seedling, they'll be pretty cheap 2 dollar for some of the seedling and 3 dollar is the higher we usually go up to. You should stop by the DuPont Circle Farmers Market Tomorrow and stop by our tent and buy some of our seedling, they are mature and they will last for the entire season.
Thank You!

We wanted something to set us apart from the others, so we build an aquaponics system. Currently we are growing plant clippings and letting them root then we transplant it to soil.

The Greenhouse Club and the Bass Family went to help with the Soapstone Rock Creek Park clean up project. We're trying to preserve any and all native plants and get rid off any invasive species. So Far so good!

The Start of the Greenhouse Program

6/7/2014

After Kate Lee had to terminate her relationship with the Greenhouse Program, a group of students decided to take it upon themselves to continue with the program and turn a negative into a huge positive.  When she left everything was pretty much dried out but we try to salvage as much a possible (The Leeks looked decent so we kept it).
We decide it was time for the Aquaponics system to be use so we planted "Rue" and it was a success. It smells awesome, we hope to sell it soon!

The Pictures below shows our beginning progress.
